  1. Public Enemies was boring, if you can’t bring a person in within the first hour of runtime, you failed at making a film

  2. My grandad fought in WWII and he said the most accurate portrait of war he ever saw was the opening of saving private Ryan. He said it took him right back to June 1944 and he had to turn the film off.

  3. My favorite war film which didn’t make the list is 12 Strong, it’s about 12 men going to Afghanistan a few weeks after 9/11. It stars Chris Hemsworth, Micheal Shannon, and Micheal Pena.

  4. We were soldiers is based on a true story, la drang valley. Vietnam war 1965. Starring Mel Gibson directed by Randall Wallace. Released in 2002

  5. “Fury” is crap. Any soldier worth his weight in dirt knows how to defeat a crippled tank. You destroy its optics. Ping the hatches. Light a fire beneath it. Stupidest military movie ever. On a scale of 1 to 10 its negative. However, Leboof did well.

  6. Death Traps, the book referenced by Fury, is discredited by historians as very misleading as well as making many factually incorrect claims. It’s an interesting book insofar as it contains first hand accounts of American troops, but is unreliable in many of the claims it makes and misleads the reader into thinking the fate of Sherman crews were much worse than they actually were (when looking at total statistics regarding crew survivability, the Sherman was actually one of the safest tanks in the war). It’s a memoir and should not be cited as a historical fact.
