  1. So if you do not already live in San Francisco, you’ll have to fight for few spots that are expensive and unattainable. If you already live here, with a couple groups to below to, the government pays your rent? Um … isn’t this the action of an Authoritarian government controlling the flow of people and commerce?

  2. Wow, so stupid. Non profit? So they are willing to do this for free? No one is doing this for free.

  3. The bldg will go to ruin after the non profit will take over. Buildings will not be kept up in shape, look at history

  4. The city passed a $600 million bond, I wonder how this bond will be paid back…. nah we all know it’s through more taxes

  5. So we have the most liberal city in the country with equality being one of their main issues distributing huge amounts of tax monies to these non-profits who then use this money to purchase buildings and come up with their own criteria as to who gets to rent them? Obviously, such a program could not be legal if the city were to run it themselves, that is why the money is granted to the non-profits. In addition, you have the overhead of these non-profits themselves that also must be paid for out of this money. Finally, I’m sure that the people running these non-profits are not just “do-gooders” on a philanthropic mission with your money. They are “juiced in” pols who use this money to sustain themselves and many will ultimately end up running the city one day, essentially campaigning for office on your tax money. These news reporters can’t see through this?

  6. Trying to sustain a city with other people’s money. Why do you think France is in crisis mode with their pension plan. trying to retire people in their early 50s so they don’t have to work, while making everybody else pay for it

  7. What the hell does her being a minority have to do with anything? Why even bring that up? She’s no different than anybody else. Make it sound like just because she’s black she has the right to stay there. Glad her and her family get to stay in their home.
